Upcoming MicroCap Event: Sidoti & Company Fall 2017 Conference

We recently caught up with Caitlin Adams, Director of Events & Marketing at Sidoti & Company, to learn more about the Sidoti & Company Fall 2017 Conference. Q&A below.

When and where is the event held? How did you decide on that location?

Caitlin Adams: “Thursday, September 28th at the New York City Marriott Marquis. The Marriott is a centrally located hotel in the heart of NYC but more importantly it supports the format of the conference. We believe strongly that having the entire conference on one floor is a better experience for companies, sponsors and attendees.”

How would you best describe the Sidoti & Company Fall 2017 Conference?

Adams: “Investor conference.  Management teams give 30 minute presentations and host 30 minute 1x1s.”

Who hosts the event? Any interesting sponsors?

Adams: “Sidoti & Company, is the preeminent provider of equity research focused on small and micro-cap stocks. In addition to traditional research, Sidoti & Company is also a provider of company sponsored research. Rodman & Renshaw is our exclusive investment banking sponsor. Issuer Direct (ISDR) is a presenting company as well as a sponsor.”

Any panels or keynotes planned?

Adams: “Not at the moment.”

What is the event’s history?

Adams: “A few years ago this conference was geared exclusively to micro cap companies and has since evolved to include small cap companies.  The event provides companies crucial visibility to our expanding base of institutional, family office and high net-worth investors.”

Who should attend and why?

Adams: “Companies who are seeking to have their stories heard by investors who target the small and micro-cap market will find our event to be very effective.  Companies at our Spring Conference had an average of 10 scheduled meetings and many also experienced impromptu unscheduled meetings as attendees sought them out during the event.”

What size and type of MicroCap public companies should attend? How do they qualify/present?

Adams: “We currently have 87 companies participating.  They range in size from $3m to $4b and span all industries and sectors. There is a $5,000 participation fee for companies.”

How do potential attendees register?

Adams: “Visit the conference website using this link

Is there a deadline to register?

Adams: “We will cap the conference at around 100 companies.  We have less than 15 presentation spots available right now.”

How much does it cost to attend?

Adams: “Presenting companies are charged a fee.  Attendee registration is open to accredited investors.”
