Upcoming MicroCap Event: Proactive’s CEO Investors’ Forum – May, NYC

We recently caught up with Mary Ruggiero to discuss Proactive’s CEO Investors’ Forum – May, NYC.

Q&A below:

When and where is the forum held?

Mary Ruggiero: “This forum is being held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the 3 West Club, 3 West 51st Street, NYC.  This will be the second Proactive event to be in the Solarium Room, which features a glass enclosure, leading guests to a large outdoor terrace and bar with stunning views of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The Solarium Room and outdoor terrace provide a unique networking setting.”

How would you best describe the event?

Mary Ruggiero: “Proactive’s CEO Investors’ Forum brings together small-cap companies from the biotech and life-sciences sector with industry insiders, revealing where they are putting their money and why. Hear several presentations from CEOs about their business, followed by a panel discussion to explore investment opportunities plus an audience Q&A.  The forum concludes with extended networking time, which includes an open bar, food and a chance for one-to-one meetings with the presenters.”

Who hosts the forum? Any interesting presenters?

Mary Ruggiero:Proactiveinvestors is hosting this forum.  There are currently three companies confirmed to present on the night and a fourth will be announced shortly:

  • Josep Bassaganya-Riera, chief executive officer and chairman, Landos Biopharma
  • Richard Schumacher, chief executive officer and president, Pressure BioSciences
  • James Thompson, chief executive officer, Callitas Health”

Any panels or keynotes planned?

Mary Ruggiero: “Yes, there will be a 30-minute, moderated panel discussion where the panelists will explore how technology is shaping the biotech and life sciences sectors, and how their companies are using this to their advantage, along with audience Q&A.”

What is the event’s history?

Mary Ruggiero: “Proactiveinvestors has been running successful investor events, conferences and forums in London, Manchester, Dublin, Toronto, Melbourne, and Sydney for nearly 10 years. Last month, we opened our New York office and held our first event in the city.  That event proved popular and was standing room only during the presentations.  The attendees comprised genuine institutional and retail investors with an interest in learning about investment opportunities. They met with CEOs from a wide range of companies.”

How many attendees do you expect at this event?

Mary Ruggiero: “Last month we had more than 150 registered investors and we expect a similar, if not better, response this time. At any one point, we expect there to be between 70 and 80 investors in the room, including many from the top 20 investment banks, as well as some of the largest fund managers and high net worth individuals.”

Who should attend and why?

Mary Ruggiero: “This event is intended for genuine institutional and retail investors who are considering putting their money to work in this dynamic sector.  This is your chance to meet the CEOs of companies you are invested in or may be considering investing in, network with like-minded investors, and perhaps be part of a spectacular growth story.”

How do potential attendees register?

Mary Ruggiero: “Please visit http://www.proactiveinvestors.com/register/event_details/139 and click Register (http://bit.ly/2FLgY21)”

Is there a deadline to register?

Mary Ruggiero: “There is no deadline to register, however seats are limited so we encourage those to register as soon as possible to secure their place.”

How much does it cost to attend?

Mary Ruggiero: “This forum is free for attendees.”

Anything else potential attendees should know?

Mary Ruggiero: “*All registrations are reviewed and subject to approval.”
