OTC Markets Announces Q3 2018 Index Performance and Rebalancing
This week, OTC Markets Group announced the third quarter 2018 performance and quarterly rebalancing of the OTCQX® and OTCQB® indexes, including the OTCQX Canada Index and the OTCQX Dividend Index.
All the OTC Indexes except the OTCQX U.S. Index ended Q3 higher. Two OTC Indexes outperformed the others. The OTCQX Canada Index (.OTCQXCAN), which tracks Canadian OTCQX companies, was up 7.6% and the OTCQB Venture Index (.OTCQB), which tracks the overall OTCQB Venture Market, was up 7.5%.
One hundred twenty-seven companies were added to the OTCQB Venture Index and eighty companies were removed.

Other OTC Indexes performance and rebalances:
The OTCQX Composite Index (.OTCQX), a benchmark for the overall OTCQX Best Market, was up 2.6% in the third quarter.
The OTCQX Billion+ Index (.OTCQXBIL), which tracks the performance of $1 billion-plus market cap OTCQX companies, was up 2.6% for the quarter.
The OTCQX Dividend Index (.OTCQXDIV), which tracks dividend-paying U.S. and international OTCQX companies, was up 2.4% in the quarter.
The OTCQX Banks Index (.OTCQXBK), comprised of OTCQX community and regional banks, increased 2.7% in the quarter.
The OTCQX International Index (.OTCQXINT), a benchmark for international OTCQX companies, was up 2.6% for the quarter. Twenty-nine companies were added to the index and 6 companies were removed.
The OTCQX Canada Index (.OTCQXCAN), which tracks Canadian OTCQX companies, was up 7.6% in the third quarter.
The OTCQX U.S. Index (.OTCQXUS), a benchmark for U.S. OTCQX companies, was down 1.2% in the third quarter.
The OTCQB Venture Index (.OTCQB), which tracks the overall OTCQB Venture Market, was up 7.5% in the third quarter.
