New White Paper Discusses Measuring SmallCap IR Success
Last month, IR Magazine shared a white paper about “Measuring IR Success.” The white paper, sponsored by OTC Markets Group, discusses how when evaluating the success of an investor relations strategy it is important for smaller companies to look beyond institutional investment and trading volumes.
According to the report, issuers with a market capitalization under $1 bn normally do not have the liquidity, volume or capital structure to attract big institutional names. Small-cap companies should not feel disheartened. In the early years of public ownership, other types of shareholders including retail are important. IR teams need to build a strong foundation for their investor relations strategy that looks five years ahead, rather than one or two.
This white paper covers four key sections to consider:
- Investor targeting
- Cross trading benefits for international companies
- Measuring IR success
- Building a long-term strategy
