OTC Markets Announces Q1 2019 Index Performance and Rebalancing
Last week, OTC Markets Group announced the first quarter 2019 performance and quarterly rebalancing of the OTCQX® and OTCQB® indexes, including the OTCQX Canada Index and the OTCQX Dividend Index.
All the OTC Indexes ended Q1 higher. The OTCQB Venture Index (.OTCQB), which tracks the overall OTCQB Venture Market, was up 15.6% in the first quarter. The OTCQX Composite Index (.OTCQX), a benchmark for the overall OTCQX Best Market, was up 11.2% in the first quarter.
126 companies were added to the OTCQB Venture Index and 106 were removed.

Other OTC Indexes performance and rebalances:
The OTCQX Composite Index (.OTCQX), a benchmark for the overall OTCQX Best Market, was up 11.2% in the first quarter. Thirty-six new companies were added to the index.
The OTCQX Billion+ Index (.OTCQXBIL), which tracks the performance of $1 billion-plus market cap OTCQX companies, was up 11% for the quarter. Eight new companies were added to the index. Five companies were removed.
The OTCQX Dividend Index (.OTCQXDIV), which tracks dividend-paying U.S. and international OTCQX companies, was up 10.7% in the quarter. Twenty new companies were added to the index and 7 companies were removed.
The OTCQX Banks Index (.OTCQXBK), comprised of OTCQX community and regional banks, increased 7.3% in the first quarter. Eight companies were added to the index in the quarter and 10 companies were removed.
The OTCQX International Index (.OTCQXINT), a benchmark for international OTCQX companies, was up 11.2% for the quarter. Twenty-five companies were added to the index and 9 companies were removed.
The OTCQX Canada Index (.OTCQXCAN), which tracks Canadian OTCQX companies, was up 24.4% in the first quarter. Twenty-one companies were added to the index and 4 companies were removed.
OTCQX U.S. Index (.OTCQXUS), a benchmark for U.S. OTCQX companies, was up 6.7% in the first quarter. Eleven companies were added to the index and 15 companies were removed.
The OTCQB Venture Index (.OTCQB), which tracks the overall OTCQB Venture Market, was up 15.6% in the first quarter. One hundred twenty-six companies were added to the index and one hundred six companies were removed.
